White Chocolate Hot Cocoa

Welcome to December! Last month we introduces a new series that features a monthly spotlight ingredient, and it was such a hit that it's now here to stay. This months delicious ingredient is one that has a special place in my heart. You may have guessed what it was last week from our hints but if you didn't today is the big reveal! The delicious ingredient that we will be spotlighting is white chocolate and Cassandra is kicking things off right with a perfectly festive white chocolate hot cocoa recipe that is good enough to give as a gift! Now onto the important stuff with a few words from the talent herself...

With trees decked and stockings up, snow on the ground is the perfect compliment to the holidays. Although the cold, wintry winds and heavy snowfall can sometimes serve as an inconvenient barrier to our morning commute, you just can't beat a beautiful, fresh snow on the days you do get to stay in. Naturally, we look to a warm cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa to cure our winter blues. For me, I've been on a hot cocoa kick lately, so I'm sharing this White Chocolate Hot Cocoa recipe with you.

I choose to make this as a large batch in dry-mix form, which is perfect for gifting and keeping some for yourself. Simply pack this White Chocolate Hot Cocoa mix into a mason jar, top with white chocolate chips and wrap the jar with baker's twine and a name tag for the perfect stocking stuffer. Be sure to make yourself a cup and top with a heaping of big marshmallows when you're done! So here's to staying in and enjoying the white snow and wintry weather from inside with a cup of this White Chocolate Hot Cocoa.
