The Edit | No. 002
At last, weather worthy of a turtleneck. As we welcome in the colder air of October, I'm shuffling in a new edit filled with pieces that will keep you warm & chic as the weather & leaves start to transition towards winter. This month I'm all about mixing up fabrics, staying covered up with elegant turtlenecks, and adding a bit of edge through over the knee boots and out of the box accessories. A lot of color may be lacking, but just like last Fall I'm living for all things oxblood.
THE BREAK DOWN //
Oxblood // If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times. I am unapologetically obsessed with neutrals. It makes life easier and I never have to worry about not having something to wear. While color isn't always my thing, I do go through periods of time where I can't get enough of it and this season I'm all about oxblood. It's dark, erie, and a more toned way to wear red. What's not to like? From accessories to leather, oxblood is one color that will be making it's way into my wardrobe this month on a weekly basis.
Hats // Need I say more? They instantly make a bad hair day better and they look good doing it.
Suede // If color isn't the strongest part of your wardrobe game consider adding in some new materials and textures. Having spent years only allowing suede on my shoes, I'm loving it on a few select pieces this season.
Risky Accessories // Go bold or go home right? Nah, I actually prefer to keep things pretty calm around here but that doesn't have to apply to all things. Keep things simple with basics that can work together seamlessly and upgrade you edge factor with some risky accessories. These clothespin earrings and a dark purple lip will defenetly do the trick.
Over The Knee // Dont pull out those thick stockings just yet, over the knee boots are this seasons answer to what to wear as the weather transitions. Pair them with longer skirts or tight fit jeans to make any outfit a statement look.
Turtleneck // Classic, chic, and effortless are all words that come to mind when I think of turtlenecks. During this season, and the next for that matter, you can find me wearing a fitted turtleneck about twice a week. It makes every outfit look polished and they are warm enough without being too bulky to wear indoors.
Still All About The Slit // What can I say, sometimes showing just a little bit of leg during the colder weather is worth it. Especially if you pair this dress with some over the knee boots and that suade jacket.
