Plant-Based Skincare | Yoshimomo Botanique
Over the past few months, I've been going through a bit of a healthy living transformation. For the first time that I can remember, I've started to pay attention to what I put into my body and the products that I'm putting onto my body. I can't say that it was one thing in particular that brought on this change, but after four months of healthy eating and using natural products I can safely say that these changes are here to say.
Apart from adding a lot of green juice into my diet and cutting out the majority of my unhealthy eating habits, I've also transformed my beauty bag to including natural products. While I've added a lot of new products into the rotation, none stand out quite as much as the beautiful line of skincare from Yoshimomo Botaniques.
While a number of their products are noteworthy, there are three in particular that have become staples in my skincare routine. First is the Black Magic Bamboo Charcoal cleanser. This product is less harsh on my skin than your typical acne reducing cleansers while still packing a punch when it comes to nipping congested skin in the butt. Following that up, I'll use one of two face oils depending on the time of the day. In the morning, I use the Ghost Oil to hydrate and prep my skin for makeup. What I love most about this product is how quickly it absorbs. Being the type of person that savors every minute of sleep I can get in the morning, I love having a face oil that doesn't take long to sink in before I start my makeup. Not to be dramatic but it's pretty life changing for me. It gives you all the benefits people love about an oil without the annoying components that usually leave me longing for a typical moisturizer. In the evening for a bit more hydration, I use the Tsubaki Oil which is filled with antioxidants, non-comedogenic, and deeply hydrating.
Between these three products and a few of their masks & scrubs, I can honestly say my skin hasn't felt this good since high school. There is also something to say about a product that works as well as their packaging looks on my counter top. Isn't it great when the product packaging is as good as the product itself? Being a sucker for good packaging, I'm always impressed when they can get both things so right.
Have any of you tried Yoshimomo before? I'd love to hear if any of you have a favorite product from their line.
