You may not know this about me, but I am pretty much obsessed with all things Martha Stewart. In my opinion everything she touches is gold, so I'm I was super excited when I heard that one of my favorite makers, Brit McDaniel from Paper & Clay, is a finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made Awards. Some of the exciting perks to being one of the ten winners includes $10,000 to help grow their business, a trip to NYC, and a feature in Martha Stewart Magazine. That's pretty amazing don't you think? Two notable past winners are Shinola & Folk Fibers, both of which are companies that I think you'd all agree have some incredible products.
Now I'm not usually one to go and vote for "peoples choice" awards but Brit's work is so stunning, and her drive to follow her passion while creating a life she loves living is truly inspiring. Just read her interview over on Design Sponge and you'll see what I'm talking about. Her honest answer about her path to self discovery is truly moving and will hit home with many. She's the type of business women, maker, and all around good human that you just instantly want to support.
Paper & Clay is just a little over a year old, but it has been rapidly growing in popularity and demand over the past twelve months. Recently a few of their pieces even got picked up by Anthropogie and will be for sale this holiday season. You know when our beloved Anthro picks something up it's a pretty big deal! Just check out the slideshow of pictures above and you'll quickly understand what everyone loves about these ceramics. They're timeless treasures that you'll cherish forever.
Voting opened yesterday so be sure to head over to vote for Paper & Clay as the "People's Choice" award winner if you love their work as much as I do.
