Beach To Evening With One Dress
Now that it is staying light out longer my mind is nonstop on the beach. I cannot wait until the weather warms up a bit and I can head down to the shore for some much needed rest and relaxation. Whenever I take a long weekend I try to keep my packing to a minimal. The process of loading and unloading the car is the last thing I want to do on my weekend of relaxation. This use to be a really big problem for me, always packing way more than one person could physically wear in three days. Luckily I have managed to step up my packing game in recent years. Since traveling abroad I have actually become a really great packer. I guess the 10 pound weight limit for 2 months taught me a thing or two.
One of my favorite tricks is to pack outfits that can be dressed up and dressed down quickly by swapping a few key pieces. For the outfit above I took this beautiful mint green dress and transformed it from beach wear to seaside dining glam all by swapping a handbag, shoes, and some jewelry. If you want to change up the look even more I recommend throwing a knit top over a dress for your day outfit. This way nobody will be able to tell you wore the same dress all day long! I hope next time you have a quick trip you try out my packing method. Sometimes it's really liberating to have less options and to just go with it!
