When I was much younger I fractured my back and spent over a year in a back brace. Needless to say it wasn't the most fashionable or exciting period in my life. I heeled just fine, but as I've gotten older I've come to realize that when I do certain exercises incorrectly I end up aggravating it again. Because of this, I've often found myself avoiding certain activities like yoga unless I know that I'll have someone there to really guide me through and watch my positioning.
While going to a yoga studio is always ideal, life happens to get in the way most of the time. In these moments I try to practice yoga from home, but usually end up doing it incorrectly. With the new yoga mat from SmartMat, my problems will hopefully be a thing of the past. SmartMat is an interactive yoga mat that helps you fine tune your yoga practice from home without the need for an in person instructor. It will help you identify when you aren't in alignment and will use that information to give you tips and pointers for correcting your pose. It's pretty incredible.
You can currently preorder your SmartMat for $297 with an expected delivery for August. While the price may seem hefty, I'd say it's totally worth it when you think of the cost of a year membership to a yoga studio. What do you guys think? Is this something you could see yourself using?
