For The Movie Obsessed...

How can you tell when you're in love? For me, I first realized that I truly loved my boyfriend when I found myself going to the movies for a third weekend in a row. You probably don't know this, but a little known fact about me is that I deeply detest going to the movie theaters. Always have and probably always will, but the man I love lives for the movies so I suck it up and attend.

The cost of going to the theater as often as we do adds up fast. During Oscars season alone, I'd say we probably go just about every weekend if not more. If he had his way we'd go multiple times a weekend, but there comes a point when this loving girlfriend puts her foot down. After running the numbers on what his movie loving was costing us, I was not pleased. My mind instantly jumped to the beautiful homewares I could have purchases for that price. So as you can imagine, I was overjoyed when I learned of a company that could help me with this cost. Recently a friend of mine introduced me to MoviePass, a company that sells monthly subscriptions to view unlimited movies for just $30-$35 a month. If you do the math, you'll realize that for anyone who watches more than three movies a month it's a pretty solid deal. During the fall and winter months alone we'd get our full worth from the service.

While this might not be the most practical subscription for everyone, I definitely think this would be an incredible gift in lieu of a typical movie gift card. If you'd like to give it a try, MoviePass offers a 2 week free trail with zero obligations for continuing service after your trial expires. Pretty much a no brainer right? Now tell me, how do you guys feel about a night out at the cinema? Do you love it or are you like me and prefer watching a movie from the comforts of your own couch?
