If you were to ask me (and most people) what comes to mind when I hear Fall, images of sweaters & boots and colorful leaves & cool breezes come to mind. Another major component of fall is the food. Of course, you know I’m talking about pumpkin everything. Pies, coffee, pancakes, anything you could think of. I’m not sure what makes the pumpkin such a fall staple- maybe its orange color, the time of year it's ripe and ready to be harvested, or the endless options for decor and food you can use it for.
Either way, this vegetable takes the (pumpkin spice) cake for being a fall favorite and that’s why we've decided to spotlight the ingredient this month. Over the next few weeks we wanted to give you three easy recipes that revolve around this key ingredient and flavor. We are starting it out with a spin on the classic banana bread recipe - you guessed it, Brown Butter Pumpkin Banana Bread. I decided to give the original an upgrade because it’s fall (tis the season) and quick, easy breads are such a breeze to make. This bread will fill your home with a fall fragrance that will leave you wishing you made more. The bread can also double as a side for a quick breakfast on the go, or as the main treat with your afternoon tea or coffee.
