Sand Dollar Place Card
Weddings are beautiful, but lets face it they are very expensive. To lessen some of the expenses it is great to use some DIY elements. Today I want to share with you one of my favorite quick DIY projects that is perfect for a beach wedding. These easy & beautiful sand dollar place cards will make the perfect personalized element for your special event. All you need are sand dollars, ribbon, and name cards printed on heavy card stock. When I made these sand dollar place cards I was lucky enough to have just vacationed in South Carolina where I was able to find plenty for my project. If you can't find sand dollars you can always purchase them in bulk online.
ONE: Prep sand dollars. If using sand dollars you found on the beach I love shelling has is a great guide on drying and bleaching them. If you purchased sand dollars in bulk remove any blemishes with a nail file to make sure you have a perfect surface. TWO: Cut chosen 1/4'' ribbon to 1 foot in length. THREE: Punch a hole into the corner of cut out card stock. FOUR: String ribbon through the bottom of the top two holes of the sand dollar. String card stock through one side and continue to tie bow.
They are so easy and make a beautiful place card that people will want to keep!
